Hands to Work, Hearts to God

Last Friday, thirty-two young men from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School visited the parish to lend their support to the renovation of the Aquinas Center.  The building, a former convent and former daycare, is being revitalized to enhance the work of the parish communities and to welcome programs and services that will benefit the neighborhood. The St. Joe’s students were mostly freshmen participating in their annual retreat activities.  A handful of upperclassmen joined them as leaders, encouraging the good work and guiding the effort.

We greatly appreciate the yard work they did on the daycare playground, all the cleaning that is making the center sparkle, and the energy they brought to everything they put their hands too!  To learn how your group can get involved in a service project, email Bethany Welch bwelch [at] staquinas.com.
