RCIA

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which adults come into the Catholic Church. We meet once a week September – May to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time to discover where God is present in their lives.

 RCIA is for adults:

  • Who were never baptized.
  • Who were baptized in another Christian faith and who wish to become Catholic.
  • Who were baptized Catholics but were never confirmed.

At St. Thomas, RCIA Sessions are open to adults who are interested in becoming Catholic as well as practicing Catholics wanting to deepen their faith.

RCIA is available in English, Vietnamese, Spanish, and Indonesian. Call the Rectory or email parish@staquinas.com for more information.

Be a sponsor

We’re looking for parishioners (who speak any of the above languages) that are interested in being sponsors.  Baptized members of the community serve as sponsors for candidates in the RCIA. A sponsor is an active member of the parish who walks with the candidate on the journey to a new and fuller life in Christ. The sponsor is the candidate’s personal connection to the parish. Please call the or email parish@staquinas.com if you’re interested.
